MyTipMe is a tipping platform that allows fans to support their favorite creators by sending voluntary tips.

How Tipping Works

 

Fans can tip creators directly through their MyTipMe profiles.

    •    Creators receive 100% of the tip amount—MyTipMe absorbs all associated fees so creators get the full tip without deductions.

    •    Platform Service Fee: Fans pay a 20% platform service fee at checkout, which covers the following:

 

    1.    Payment Processing Fees: Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for domestic cards and an additional 1% for international cards, totaling 3.9% + $0.30 for international transactions.

 

    2.    Currency Conversion Fees: When transactions involve different currencies, Stripe applies a 2% currency conversion fee.

 

    3.    Chargeback Fees: If a tip is disputed, Stripe imposes a $15.00 chargeback fee per dispute. However, MyTipMe covers the optional chargeback protection fee (0.4% per transaction) to help protect creators from chargebacks.

 

    4.    Fraud Prevention (Stripe Radar): MyTipMe uses Stripe Radar for Fraud Teams, which screens every transaction for fraud at $0.07 per payment. This helps detect and block fraudulent activity, reducing the risk of chargebacks.

 

    5.    Stripe Connect Payout Costs: Stripe charges a $2 per month per creator for automatic payouts to their linked bank account. MyTipMe covers all other payout-related fees, ensuring smooth, automated withdrawals.

 

    6.    Operational Costs: The remaining portion of the service fee supports platform maintenance, fraud prevention, and customer support services.

 

Unlike other platforms, MyTipMe covers these fees to ensure that creators receive the full amount of the tips given by fans, promoting a transparent and supportive tipping environment.

 

3. Do I need an account to tip a creator?

 

No, fans do not need an account to send a tip.

    •    Tipping can be done as a guest using a supported payment method.

 

4. What payment methods are accepted?

 

MyTipMe supports various payment methods through Stripe, including:

    •    Credit & Debit Cards

    •    Apple Pay & Google Pay (where available)

    •    Other regional payment options based on Stripe’s supported services

 

Payment methods may vary by country depending on Stripe’s availability.

No, all tips are final and non-refundable.

    •    Tips are voluntary support, NOT a purchase of goods or services.

    •    Once a tip is sent, it cannot be reversed.

    •    MyTipMe does not process refunds or facilitate charge reversals.

 

This ensures compliance with Stripe’s policies regarding voluntary tipping.

 

7. When do creators receive their payouts?

 

Payouts are processed automatically via Stripe Connect.

    •    Stripe handles all payout schedules based on standard payout processing times.

    •    Creators cannot manually request payouts—Stripe automates this process.

    •    Payout schedules may vary by country and banking provider.

Q: Can I receive tips in my local currency?

 

A: No, all tips on MyTipMe are processed in USD. However, Stripe automatically converts your earnings to your local currency when funds are withdrawn to your bank account.

 

Q: Why does my payout amount differ slightly from the tip total?

 

A: If your bank account is not in USD, Stripe applies a currency conversion when transferring funds. Exchange rates and conversion fees may cause minor differences between the total tips received and the final payout.

 

Q: How long does my first payout take?

 

A: Stripe enforces a 7-14 day waiting period for first-time payouts. After that, payouts occur every 3 days automatically.

 

Q: How often will I receive my payouts?

 

A: After your first payout, Stripe will automatically send payouts every 3 days. There is no manual withdrawal option, as Stripe handles all payouts based on their automated schedule.

 

Q: My payout is missing. What should I do?

8. What payout methods are available for creators?

 

Creators receive payouts via Stripe Connect, using:

    •    Bank Transfers (Direct deposit to linked accounts)

    •    Other methods based on Stripe’s payout options

 

Payout availability depends on Stripe’s list of supported countries.

 

9. How does MyTipMe handle chargebacks?

 

MyTipMe will contest all chargebacks on behalf of creators.

    •    If a fan disputes a tip, MyTipMe submits evidence to Stripe to contest the chargeback.

    •    If Stripe rules in favor of the fan, the amount is deducted from the creator’s balance or future payouts.

    •    Creators are responsible for any chargebacks Stripe upholds.

    •    MyTipMe does NOT handle chargeback disputes directly—Stripe makes the final decision.

 

This ensures compliance with Stripe’s dispute resolution policies.

 

10. Can creators offer services or products in exchange for tips?

 

No, tips cannot be exchanged for goods or services.

    •    Creators cannot sell products, offer incentives, or promise access to content in return for tips.

    •    Tipping is voluntary and NOT a form of payment for exclusive content or services.

    •    This ensures compliance with Stripe’s policies.

 

Violating this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

 

11. Can I remove my MyTipMe account?

 

Yes, users and creators can delete their accounts through Account Settings.

    •    Deleting an account is permanent and cannot be undone.

    •    Any pending payouts will be canceled upon deletion.

 

12. Can I download my data before deleting my account?

 

Yes, users and creators can download their account data before deletion.

    •    This option is available in Account Settings.

    •    Data includes transaction history and account details.
