MyTipMe is committed to providing a secure and fully compliant platform for fans and creators. We implement advanced security measures, fraud prevention tools, and financial compliance policies to ensure safe transactions and adherence to Stripe’s industry standards.

 

1. Data Security

    •    All personal and transaction data is encrypted and securely stored.

    •    Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe—MyTipMe does not store or process payment card details.

    •    User data is protected in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and other financial regulations.

    •    KYC (Know Your Customer) & AML (Anti-Money Laundering) verification is mandatory for creator payouts, ensuring compliance with global financial laws.

 

2. Payment Security and Fraud Prevention

    •    All payments are securely processed through Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant (industry-standard payment security).

    •    Transactions are monitored for fraud, chargebacks, and unauthorized payments using Stripe’s AI-driven fraud detection tools.

    •    MyTipMe actively contests chargebacks on behalf of creators, providing evidence to Stripe to contest fraudulent claims.

    •    MyTipMe reserves the right to investigate, withhold payouts, or suspend accounts if fraudulent activity is detected.

 

3. Identity Verification and Compliance

    •    Creators must complete identity verification through Stripe Connect before receiving payouts.

    •    KYC/AML verification is required for all creators to prevent fraud and comply with Stripe’s financial regulations.

    •    Creators must link a social media profile to verify legitimacy.

    •    Accounts that fail verification or violate Stripe’s policies may be restricted or removed.

 

4. Chargeback and Refund Policy

    •    Tips are voluntary and non-refundable—they are NOT payments for goods or services.

    •    MyTipMe actively contests chargebacks on behalf of creators, working with Stripe to contest fraudulent claims.

    •    If a chargeback is successful, Stripe may deduct the disputed amount from the creator’s balance.

    •    If a creator has already withdrawn funds, Stripe may apply a negative balance, which will be deducted from future payouts.

 

5. User Account Protection

    •    Users must keep their account credentials secure and report any unauthorized access immediately.

    •    MyTipMe may suspend or terminate accounts that:

    •    Violate platform policies or Stripe’s Acceptable Use Policy.

    •    Engage in fraudulent activity, chargeback abuse, or financial misrepresentation.

    •    Creators can delete their accounts and download their data through Account Settings.

 

6. Compliance with Financial Regulations

    •    MyTipMe follows Stripe’s best practices to comply with financial regulations worldwide.

    •    All transactions are monitored to ensure compliance with local and international financial laws.

    •    Payouts to creators are subject to verification and financial compliance checks through Stripe Connect.

    •    Accounts found violating Stripe’s prohibited business policies may be permanently restricted from receiving payouts.
